A DocuClipper alternative for bank statements

DocuClipper is a mature cloud platform for financial documents: bank and card statements, invoices and receipts, with direct QuickBooks and Xero connections. StmtSnap does one narrower job: bank statement PDFs to spreadsheets and accounting files, with text PDFs converted in your browser and Tally XML for Indian practices.

If you only convert bank statements, the narrower tool may cost less and keep the file on your device. If you need invoices, card statements or direct integrations, DocuClipper does things StmtSnap does not. The table sticks to what each product's own pages say.

Figures as published on each site on 2026-10-09; see sources below.

DocuClipper is the better fit if you

  • need credit card statements, invoices or receipts as well as bank statements
  • want transactions pushed straight into QuickBooks or Xero rather than importing a file
  • need IIF, QFX or QIF output
  • process mostly scanned or photographed statements

StmtSnap is the better fit if you

  • convert text-PDF bank statements and would rather the file never left your device
  • post to Tally Prime or ERP 9 and want voucher XML, not a spreadsheet to re-key
  • convert a few hundred pages a month and want a lower monthly price for that volume
  • want the balance check shown before anything is downloaded

Price per page at typical volumes

At 60 pages a month, DocuClipper's Starter is $20 a month on annual billing. StmtSnap's Starter is $15 a month for up to 500 pages, and the free plan covers 15 pages of Excel and CSV. Above 640 pages DocuClipper's next published tier is $111 a month (annual); StmtSnap's Pro is $19 a month for up to 2,000 pages.

Those are list prices from each pricing page on the date shown below. DocuClipper's plans also include document types and integrations StmtSnap does not offer, so the comparison is only like-for-like if bank statements are all you need.

Where your client's statement goes

With an upload-based service, every statement is sent to the vendor's servers to be read. With StmtSnap, a text PDF is opened and read inside your browser and is not uploaded. A scanned PDF is different: it has no text to read, so its page images go to Google Gemini, only after a notice and only for signed-in users. StmtSnap uses Gemini's free tier, under which Google may use submitted content to improve its products, so don't convert scans you would not want sent there.
